Photoshop Tutorial | Alfa Romeo 4cThis tutorial describes how to render this car using Adobe Photoshop. The whole thing took about an hour and a half to complete. The design is loosely based on the Alfa Romeo 4c. |

Step 01Scan your sketch and scale it to fit on an A4 page at 300 DPI. |

Step 02Adjust the levels of the scanned image to clean it up. Edit > Adjustments > Levels... If there are any design changes or adjustments make them now. |

Step 03Create a new layer and fill it with a mid-range grey colour. Double click the scanned image in the layer bar and a new layer dialogue box should come up. Click ok. Then move the scanned image layer above the grey layer and change the blending mode to Multiply from the drop-down list at the top of the layer tab. |

Step 04Either find some wheels on the net or download some from my resource page and position and scale them into place. |

Step 05Create a new layer for the black areas. |

Step 06On a new layer fill in the main parts of the bodywork. |

Step 07Create a new layer above the main bodywork layer and change its blending mode to Linear Burn. Use a darker tone than the bodywork and start adding shadow. |

Step 08Create a new layer above the main bodywork layer and change its blending mode to Colour Dodge. This time use a lighter colour to create some highlights. |

Step 09Add some further detail to the front air intake area and wing mirrors. |

Step 10Using a cyan colour create a outline for the headlamp detail. |

Step 11On a new layer create some backwalls for the headlamps. |

Step 12Finally, create an outer glow layer style to the original headlamp outline. |
